We have built websites for dental clinics, so we have seen what actually brings patients through the door. The good clinic websites all do the same few things well. None of them are complicated.
1. Treatments, written for patients
Patients do not search for “endodontic therapy”. They search for “root canal pain”. Write every treatment the way a worried patient would describe it. One short page per treatment is enough — what it is, how long it takes, and what it costs roughly.
2. One-tap appointment booking
This is the single most important button on the site. A patient in pain will not fill a ten-field form. Give them a WhatsApp button and a call button, visible without scrolling, on every page. That alone can double your enquiries.
3. Real faces, real address
Nobody trusts a clinic with no face. Put the doctor's real photo and short profile on the site. Put the clinic's real photos, not stock images of foreign hospitals. And put your address with a Google Maps link — most patients check how far you are before they call.
4. Reviews patients can actually see
Your Google reviews are proof. Show them on the website instead of hiding them three clicks deep in your Google profile. Even five honest reviews beat a page full of adjectives about “world-class care”.
5. Fast on a cheap phone
Most of your patients will open your site on a budget phone with patchy mobile data. If your site takes eight seconds to load, they are gone. Keep images small, skip the heavy animations, and test on a real phone — not just your laptop.
What to skip
- Stock photos of smiling models in white coats. Patients can tell.
- Medical jargon. Write like you talk to a patient sitting in your chair.
- A blog you will never update. Three dead posts from 2023 look worse than no blog at all.
Do these five things well and your website will quietly do what a good receptionist does — answer questions, build trust, and book the appointment.
